VoicalInferno for Andre Chambers
Andre Chambers is a black man, who also serves as Steven's estranged/abusive father. As a result, he's integral to one of the central protag's story. He won't appear in the present as much (as far as Book 1 is concerned) BUT will appear in flashbacks as part of Steven's trauma throughout the show. He comes off as a man filled with toxic masculinity & blatant homophobia. He's also very argumentative and violent, so be prepared to say/do some heinous things if given the role.
Scenario: (This is in a flashback) Andre just finished reprimanding his son Steven (via punching him to the ground.) He's very angry but transitions to a more calm (albeit annoyed) demeanor.
"LISTEN HERE YOU RUNT! I'M YOUR FATHER & YOU WILL DO AS I ASK OR SO HELP ME, I'LL BEAT YOU TO A BLOODY PULP!" (Takes a deep breath; Annoyed) "You're a Chambers man Steven & as such, you MUST follow in my footsteps. Being a confident, well built man who's model ready is your destiny, even if you can't see it yet. One day when you're older, you'll begin to understand why I'm putting you through all of this mess."
Scenario: Andre is up in Steven's face, intimidating & mocking him in the middle of a tense moment between them in present day.
"What's the matter Steven? Too much of a PUSSY to be a man and stand up for yourself!? (Snickers) Pathetic. This is what happens when boys lack their father, they turn into pussy ass queers like YOU!"
