Role assigned to: TheVoiceOgre - AveryLuna

Vaal is a former enemy of Tomix and the main character, defeated by them before the current story. They go to him for help for for their journey into the Void to stop Envy, as Vaal is the only one with enough knowledge to navigate safely. He chooses to help them out of pure spite, still angry about his defeat at their hands years ago, which caused him to lose an almost "omnipotent" status that he held.

Vaal is extremely arrogant, egoistic, and prideful. This ego comes from him (previously) being extremely powerful. Although his current power is considerably less, he retains the ego, topped with a sense of bitterness at everything.

  • (on a drunken rant about his lost power)

I was the greatest... the GREATEST! How DARE they leave. They will RUE the day they deserted me.... I WAS THE MOST PRODIGIOUS MAGE OF ALL TIME AND YOU... you... you had to destroy it...

  • (mocking Tomix and the main character after they'd come to ask for his help on their journey into the void)

A SHIP? Oh, you ignorant fools... please tell me you have a pirate crew! You want to venture into the depths of the VOID on a ship crewed by pirates?!

  • (firing back at Tomix after Tomix had taunted him for being "too afraid" to help them)

AFRAID?! I FEAR NOTHING SOULWEAVER! Not even the spectre of Death that awaits you in the Deep Void. Don't think I don't know what you're doing... you dare to bait me? Lure me in, like a fish on a hook?!

You're right! He IS technically the devil's advocate of the group. He is supposed to come of as a lot more arrogant/cocky though. Unfortunately I have to reject you due to the peaking :( Is your microphone always like that, or was the gain set too high when recording?

Yes, I should have turned the gain down and spaced myself better from the mic. Learned a good lesson with these auditions. I can make it where doesn't happen in the future.
