Puck is a chaos-loving fairy who loves to pick sides and just be problematic. They set in motion most of the conflict within the play and laughs from the sidelines as the other characters crash and burn
Though Shakespeare wrote the sprite as a 'he'
Our chaos causing creature will be non-binary
Anybody is welcome to audition regardless of gender
We're looking for androgynous voices if that's your splendor
This audition is a little different than the other ones-
1 take on the poem
1-3 on the next line - however many you'd like
And have fun with the laughing!
Yep that's me! A hobgoblin alright
I am a merry wanderer of the night
I'm Oberon's jester, I make him smile
I can keep up my jokes for quite a while
Sometimes I pretend to be a cute foal
Get the horses to mate, that's my goal
Sometimes I hide in an untouched beverage
And when someone sips I use the leverage
To pour the liquid all over that fool
My favorite is when I'm disguised as a stool
And I slip away when someone sits down
I adore watching them all hit the ground
With me around, life is no yawn
Oh! Step aside, friend. Here comes Oberon!Lucky for me, I found him asleep
I gave him the nectar without making a peep
The girl that you spoke of was sleeping nearby
So when he wakes up, she'll catch his eye[Laugh]
[No seriously, just laugh!]
[Do a bunch of 'haha's, a few 'tee-hee's, maybe some 'pffttt's have a laughing fit where you just can't stop, do all of those, do one or two, or do your own thing- whatever works for you, just laugh!]
Glad it's fun~ I adore the energy level here!! And the little laugh in the middle of the poem was great. Nice!!
