My Notes
Jimmy Jims. Noble and brave (though a bit crass at times), he is revealed to have a secret role in the Court, and is referred to as a jailer and "dragon slayer" by Reynardine. He goes easy on Annie during gym class, praising her for standing up to Winsbury instead of punishing her for throwing him. James also saved her from being possessed by Reynardine. Despite his favoritism, Annie is still wary of him.
James seems to hold a personal grudge against Annie's father, and also possesses a pocket knife with an engraving from Surma, Annie's mother, so... there's some history there.

    I knew something like this would happen. He’s never thought of anyone but himself. First Surma, and now his own child…
