Our head honcho shadowy antagonist for the next couple seasons of the show. You are The Architect. A Fey Lord of incomprehensible power and time that has spent millennium playing cruel and twisted jokes on mortals and your own kind. Why? Because it's funny! Empathy and sanity are all but foreign concepts to you, The Architect.
For this voice we need a performer. A show stopper. And by this I mean someone whose voice has power and volume, as well as a tone of constant pride. After all you are an immortal Fey lord, why shouldn't you look down on everyone around you?
I highly recommend looking at this video here https://youtu.be/l222lTa9RsA?t=15 for a reference to the tone. This isn't picture perfect though. Remember you're a master of ceremonies! Cruel to your enemies and a hype man of joy to all the rest!
IMPORTANT CHARACTER NOTE:
In your mind, as the character, you are a master of ceremonies. A guardian of the metaphorical gateway our audience uses to watch the world of this comedy series. The maestro of this symphony of laughter, and a judgement of character only Gods could comprehend. So carry that pride. Carry that arrogance in your voice. I want to hear the unhinged mentality of a narcissist without equal when you apply for this.
Also we don't care for age or Gender, make the voice however you want, it'll be heavily edited in post to sound my fantastical.
FINAL NOTE:
-If you want to attempt to do some sound engineering and add effects to your audition by all means do so, but if you can't or don't want to don't worry too much.
Why? WHY?! Oh what is it about you mortals and always asking that question. Do none of you have a sense of HUMOR? I mean, would you even believe me if I said this was all one brilliant practical joke? Come on! You contacted a Devil, got it wrong and stumbled onto my door instead. You played the game, now you're stuck on my board. Isn't that just hilarious? Being forced to relive that moment in a loop? I'd say it's pretty hilarious! (Mad laughter)
Empathy, apathy, what's the difference? One says they care by lying about how bad it is. One cares by telling you exactly how bad it is. Much like you and me. Your fans will call me a villain merely because they met you first, and mine will say you're an arrogant mad man getting what they deserve. And at the end of the day all that matters is they are watching. They're watching, and they will keep watching.... Because deep down they like this... And I... Well... I Love it.
A kingdom has many meanings. To a man and woman it is a castle, to a king it is the world, and to a dog it is the home. And to me a Kingdom is the universe itself. A throne built of stars I have taken like prized jewels. You have had the gall to lash out at me and my gifts, but I am a being of mercy and forgiveness. So I grant you this unfinished parchment of a world. Create me a kingdom worth my time, and then? Then we shall discuss the restoration of yours. (Mad laughter)
