Robin becomes the next member of the Strawhats and therefore is a very important and major role. She is only in the Alabasta saga in parts but becomes a full crew member afterwards.
She is the calm, levelheaded brains of the crew and the oldest member. She is regularly reading a book and relaxing or off looking for ancient artifacts. She also tends to have a bit of a dark sense of humor that usually just terrifies everyone else.
Although Robin is generally quite reserved and calm, one of the most emotional scenes in the whole series still to this day is taken by her and the VA that voices Robin needs to be able to portray that emotion well, because that is a pivotal scene in the series, which is why it is the last 2 lines for the audition.
