Lisah is a thirty-something year-old woman who is Eva's mother, but has concealed her true identity after abandoning her shortly after childbirth, and ever since has held a burden and guilt over doing so, and felt it was easier to lie to Eva rather than telling her the truth. Lisah doesn't harbour the same braveness as Eva, who is sharp and clear in her actions, but Lisah is more world-weary and shows kindness and determination to reach Eva after everything that has happened -- and that determination, that drive to reach Eva -- is purely out of the fact she wants to finally tell Eva the truth, that she is in fact her mother, in hopes that it will remove the guilt she has felt since abandoning her.
