“Nothing grandma, but I will go get something for that cough. It has lasted too long,” I tell her
worriedly. I couldn’t afford to lose her too. She was all I had left in this world. My grandmother
shook her head, but I stood up, not taking no for an answer.
“Gentle, that’s them being gentle?” I asked incredulously. She nodded before chewing the end of
her nail nervously.
“Please, you have to help me get out of here” I pleaded. She shook her head.
