Callum Hayes is a Junior High School Student who was in a recent accident which caused his memories from the past to become very hazy. He comes from a priveleged family, but is the black sheep in the picture, as he refuses to conform to the image his parents want him to have. Callum is distant and has a tendency to be cynical and sarcastic, which developed due to his family's materialism and people only befriending him for superficial reasons. Although, once he trusts someone enough to open up to them, he is kind and more honest with his feelings.
Callum's voice is a medium pitch; it is clear and slightly monotonous. However, this can change based on who he is around. The actor should be able to convey the duality of a hot and cold temperament.
(Snobbish, cold) I hope you weren't planning on submitting that to your teacher. Of course you'd get a grade on it, albeit, not a good one.
(Neutral, warm) I think life suits you better when you live it out on your own. Otherwise, what's it all for?
[Context: Callum's parents have gotten into yet another debate over his appearance and reputation as the next successor of the family business. He's had it with how they criticize everything about him for the sake of making sure he is "perfect"] Mom, Dad- would you just - quit it?! For once, could you just, *talk* to me like I'm your son?! A real, genuine human being, and- and not just some puppet whose strings you manipulate to make yourselves look good?
