Yes, that's right. Male OR FEMALE. I'd actually prefer female, because I'm trying to balance out the stereotypical gender ratio of the original. 

Kain is Cecil's childhood friend. They have a strong bond built by the many years of training together. Kain greatly admires Cecil but is a little more laid-back than him. Kain is a little salty about the attention Rosa throws on Cecil, but is confident that their friendship is stronger than Rosa's love.

  • Majesty, I petition on Cecil's behalf. Please reconsider! He has done no wrong, he questions out of care for his subordinates.

  • Aw, I would have come with you anyway. And the King is bound to forgive us once we've completed the mission. We are his favorite soldiers.
