Matt's father is not a bad man. He however is agitated because of his failing marriage and struggling to keep a good relationship with his son who is already withdrawn because of the lack of attention he recieves from either parent. He works at EarthReview which is the leading Newspaper firm for the state as a head reporter. He also works on the side as a private detective.

I like how you chose to pause for a moment of reflection in your second line. I can really sense the how tired and quietly agitated this character is, nice job!
