Castielle is an angel of the Lord, as well as the one who pulled Deanna out of hell. She's very serious and does not understand many pop culture referances. She rebelled for Deanna, killed some of her siblings as well as disobeyed Heaven, all for Deanna. They have a very profound bond.

This is after Deanna and Castielle meet for the first time after Cas pulled Deanna from hell. You can either read Deanna as well, or ignore them.
CASTIELLE
I'm the one who gripped you tight and raised you from perdition.
DEANNA
Yeah. Thanks for that.
CASTIELLE
We need to talk, Deanna. Alone.
DEANNA
Who are you?
CASTIELLE
Castielle.
DEANNA
Yeah, I figured that much, I mean what are you?
CASTIELLE
I'm an Angel of the Lord.
DEANNA
Get the hell out of here. There's no such thing.
CASTIELLE
This is your problem, Deanna. You have no faith.
DEANNA
Some angel you are. You burned out that poor man's eyes.
CASTIELLE
I warned him not to spy on my true form. It can be... overwhelming to humans, and so can my real voice. But you already knew that.
DEANNA
You mean the gas station and the motel. That was you talking? Lady, next time, lower the volume.
CASTIELLE
That was my mistake. Certain people, special people, can perceive my true visage. I thought you would be one of them. I was wrong.
DEANNA
And what visage are you in now, huh? What, holy tax accountant?
CASTIELLE
This? This is... a vessel.
DEANNA
You're possessing some poor bastard?
CASTIELLE
She's a devout woman, she actually prayed for this.
DEANNA
Well, I'm not buying what you're selling, so who are you really?
CASTIELLE
(frowning) I told you.
DEANNA
Right. And why would an angel rescue me from Hell?
CASTIELLE
Good things do happen, Deanna.
DEANNA
Not in my experience.
CASTIELLE
What's the matter? You don't think you deserve to be saved?
DEANNA
Why'd you do it?
CASTIELLE
Because God commanded it. Because we have work for you.
CASTIELLE
You don't have to be ruled by fate. You can choose freedom. And I belive that's something worth fighting for.
