A cold child from a cold land, Svart was shunned by other Nords for his keen interest in the arcane arts. He grasps intricate concepts easily and used his talent to dabble in the darkest aspects of magic -- paying a hefty price for it. Although Svart became a mage of great talent, he prefers to seek little renown, wandering Skyrim in search of forgotten knowledge rather than using his magic to serve others. Inevitably, his search for interesting revelations in the mystic arts led him to the college of Winterhold. An old book there spoke of an ancestral sanctum nearby, in which some of Skyrim’s ancient clevermen (mages) rest. The dangers inside make him leery, however, so perhaps it's time to turn to Enthir and his dubious contacts for assistance. 

Svart speaks slowly, like a man who chooses his words with care, but when he is angered he gets carried-away by the emotion and speaks much faster. Even when not angry, he tends to be perceived by most folk as rude whether or not he means to be.
