Hala is the oldest Kahuna of the Alola region and Hau's grandfather. In the comics he takes on the mentor-role for Guzma once more and tries to lead his student into a better life. Looking for a deeper, mature voice for an old man like him. Hala can be strict, but also caring and comforting in his tone.
(Amused at first, then getting more serious) "Hohoho, I am sure you'll turn into a fine trainer one day! But not on your own. You need to learn to accept help from those around you."
(Angered) "Guzma, what did I just tell you? FEET OFF THE TABLE!"
(Playful, relaxed) "Do-dodo, just a Kahuna on a stroll to the Laguna"
