A second-year whose name means “One” in Japanese, and a member of the broadcasting club. Umi is energetic and honest, and she cares about her friends, Sasa and Nena, above all else, and would throw away absolutely anything to keep the three of them together. She’s very pushy about making sure they do absolutely everything together, up to and including using the bathroom.
(Umi’s voice should be high-pitched and excited… hey, I’m starting to notice a pattern here. She’s upbeat and full of emotion, almost annoyingly so, and fulfills a similar role to Megumi of making up for her two friends’ lack of emotion. Whenever she gets sad, her voice should sound kind of desperate and pleading.)
Don't sleep! Wake up! Wake up and we'll all go back to our classroom together! We're friends, aren't we?! Friends gotta stick together! (Yelling at Nena. Loud, pleading, and just a little upset.)
Sasa! I'm gonna tell Nena everything! I'm gonna tell her that we're going out! And... If Nena doesn't like that, then we're gonna have to break it off... (She's gonna confess her and Sasa's relationship to Nena. Starts energetic, but gets downbeat as she realizes what she's saying.)
Please, Nena. I've told you now. That if you don't like it, we'll stop. So let's go back to the way things were, okay? Say it, Nena. Say that we can go back. That we'll always be friends. Nena... Don't just say nothing, Nena... Say it! (Confessed her and Sasa's relationship to Nena. Desperate, pleading, and very upset.)
