Tanjiro is a person who cares about everyone around him but never shows it. He can be sarcastic and a bit of an asshole at times but his heart is always in the right place. He should sound nice with a fire behind his voice.

  • [He is in immense pain and exhaustion. He's fighting for both his and his sister's life.]

My lungs can’t take it anymore, I can’t keep going like this.

No! I can do this! For Nezuko! And for - (He falls over a cliff)

  • [After being defeated in a fight he awakens worried if this man did anything to his sister. He sees her tied up with a piece of Bamboo in her mouth.]

Oh my god… HE BONDAGED HER!

  • [He is trying to hype himself up to stab a demon through the head. He is clearly failing to do so and keeps changing tactics.]

Time to kill the head. Just gonna go ahead and stab at the ol’ noggin. Just an old-fashioned trepanation. Just going to take my hand and bring down the pain. Slice and dice. This is fine. It’s not illegal. I won’t go to hell for this.

I usually do one of two things or a combination; first, if I do a scream or yell take I turn the gain down a bit, and then turn up the talking part later, however I also often move away from my mic and scream projecting not towards it but almost parallel. I guess a way to put it is that the mic would pick up the "side" of the scream, of course it comes out sounding good. I'd be carful about turning too far away from the mic though, since if you go too far then it won't sound right, and you may hear reverb, so you'll have to find the right angle. But it's mainly about gain control and moving away from the mic from the mic between talking and screaming/ yelling.
