Jay is the youngest member of the crew hired to rob Bear's Den, a bar owned by local leader Bear. Bear, more like a warlord than a mayor, separated Jay from his parents during a conflict in the county years ago, and Jay joined the robbery as a way to get back at Bear. He appears apprehensive and nervous, but under pressure, develops a more aggressive tone of voice. The first two lines are more skittish, like a follower unsure of where he's going and what he's doing. The third line is progressively more assertive, and is lambasting another member of the crew for leading them into disaster.
