Ryuji is the captain of one of the Enchanted Gladiators Squads, so he's in charge of giving out orders to the rest of his squad for certain missions. Well, his squad isn't very well thought of, mostly because of their wild and free nature. Ryuji though, just like to fight people who he thinks will give him a challenge, or so he claims. He's a sword user like Asta and Coven are so he can use his magic better than normal. He’s not from the kingdom but still protects it because the ruler of the kingdom believed in him. He met Coven before the exams and took interest in him when he saw his magic. He knew from the start that it wasn’t magic from when he first met him. He wanted him for his squad because he wanted to see what Coven could really do.
