Former gung-ho soldier who often tries to take on more than he can handle, luckily the Star-spangled kid saved him once when the odds were against him and to repay Pemberton, Pat became his sidekick. Pat is often mocked for being an adult sidekick to a teenaged hero but Pat is a very positive and enthusiastic person who always tries to bring out the best in everyone.
