I boost the audio of all my auditions. You may be right, though - CCC does tend to compress sound. Why not listen to some of my recent auditions and decide for yourself?
It's louder when you're shouting, obviously tho basically you can see the 'size'/ wave form when you click the audition, tho luckily it's not too quiet, i've seen ppl that say they use Blue mics in their bio but their auditions end up being barely audible. Though, I suppose as long as the director themselves don't have an issue with it, should be fine (and depending on the project, they or their editor would balance your audio anyways)
