To the Will of the People: A Les Misérables Audio Drama (OLD #1)
WhitneyS for Jean "Jehan" Prouvaire
Jean Prouvaire is the champion of poetry and pastimes, finding enjoyment in the simplistic elements of life. If Courfeyrac is emotional in heart, Jehan is emotional in the soul, and that yields an aura of friendship with humanity. Although not nearly as prominently spoken in the way that Enjolras is, Jehan is intensely well-studied. He sports interest in several languages, cultures, religions, and the like. This is colorized by his prominent French accent, a characteristic he shares with Feuilly. He enjoys, primarily, contemplative conversation and does not stray from sensitive topics. He unites his brothers in humanity through the promotion of these virtues of well-being and his brothers cherish him for it.
Precisely! This pristine silence is always shattered at the peak of the day, when the busybodies come from their offices and scurry around, looking for something to satisfy their insatiable appetites, when, if they were only to stop and take in the love that the earth has to give, they would feel truly satisfied.
Yes, I shall let you alone then. I, ah, will still be in the gardens, so do not be alarmed if you catch sight of me around or hear me reciting poetry or song. I will be sure to keep my distance.
I have read of an American fellow, who has shared that, “It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.”
