Sylvia is the ghost of a woman who passed away in 1948 and now haunts the house that Oscar is renting. Though many years isolated in that home have made her soft-spoken and unfamiliar with the way the modern world works, she seeks a genuine friendship that can keep her afterlife joyful. 

  • [When the human falls over after seeing her] "I am so sorry! I didn’t mean to scare you."

  • “You’re being so nice about this and I’m just mortified." [Beat - realizes what she just said] "Oh, poor choice of words.”

  • [Explaining why she never revealed herself to previous tenants] “No, I was too afraid… but I used to help them however I could. I would make sure the front porch light was always on for them, and that they always got up in time for work. And if they lost anything, I would find it and put it out where they could see it.”
