Rosamie grew up in the Philippines. When she was 26, she moved to the UK to escape from her abusive ex boyfriend turned stalker. She works at a big chain cafe. Her best friend is Michaela, who she met shortly after moving. Rosamie tends to be a shy, cautious person due to her past experiences. She loves to dance and sing with her friends, but finds it hard to fully let loose in the company of strangers.
He got me a drink, but I didn’t see him buy it. So I don’t know what was in it. When I said “no thanks”, he got really persistent. Not really aggressive… but he wasn’t backing down.
Michaela- I’m starting to get really freaked out. The taxi driver just took a wrong turn. What if he’s not taking me home?
I can’t move again, Michaela. I can’t go through that again. It nearly ruined my life. I spent entire weeks hiding inside my house, with all the curtains shut and the lights switched off so he wouldn’t know I was home.
