A shrewd, shady journalist with an infamous reputation in the media industry. Being freelance, he knows a lot about journalism and editing, making him appear to be a reliable, experienced adult. His true nature is that of a middle-aged hoodlum who likes to rip off organizations and the Yakuza using tips and stories he obtains through coercive interviews. He has an intense love of gambling, and frequents pachinko halls and race tracks in hopes of turning his life around for once. A tough guy, who often uses silly bluffs and is tight-lipped about his past. But there's a hint of darkness that lies there. He knows spirts exist, and offers considerable assistance in pursuing the truth of each case.
