Pop is a bit older than Dai and is Avan's student before they meet him. Afterwards he continues travelling with Dai. He is a bit of a coward and tends to let Dai to all the fighting, but when he's pushed far enough and when he is needed he can fight as well, but he'd prefer to just stay off to the side and act like he was part of it afterwards. He also starts off being annoyed by Marm but ends up developing feelings for her as the series progresses.
He is a teenager, but I picture a medium tone for his voice but I'm definitely open to interpretations.
