The Black Doctor is the show's host. Dr. B reads off announcements with a joyless sense of obligation and introduces uncooperative peers with bitterness. They are almost resentful of their post. Without the charisma and excitement expected of a news anchor, what's left is a tired dryness that offers no comfort or confidence to the viewer. The Black Doctor treats the other two like untrained dogs, constantly loosing patience and with no professional courtesy. They're a little pitying of the viewer, but otherwise pretty uncaring. Their performance is well-rehearsed but reduced through tired repetition into a passionless act of going through the motions.
