Taiki is a friendly and cheerful yet meek boy who prefers plants to people, and has the habit of talking to his plants. Despite his friendliness, he has fairly low self esteem due to his somewhat neglectful upbringing and frequent bullying due to his feminine personality and his tendencies to enthuse about his hobby. Taiki does not really understand metaphors and innuendo, and they will constantly go over his head, much to the annoyance of others. Despite his ditzy moments, he sometimes has moments of intelligence, especially when it comes to plants.
In regards to plants, taiki will frequently enthuse about them to the point where others get annoyed or bored of his constant droning, causing people to avoid him. However, he does not mean to do this on purpose and usually apologizes for being what he considers to be annoying.
"Oh, uh hi. I didn't see you there! I tend to lose myself when I talk about flowers. I'm Taiki Yanagida, the ultimate florist. pleased to meet you!"
"This has to be a joke! None of us would kill someone, right?"
"But there was no trace of a weapon at the crime! What could the weapon have been?"
