Football player, golden boy, and sweetheart of Pewter Prep. A jock with a heart of gold, who first reaches out to Jeremy as he's struggling through his first day.
(Flynn is African American, and it is really important to me that he be played by an African American actor! If you aren't African American, this is an ongoing project - there are currently some roles and there will be many roles more that will open up in the future!)
(Flynn takes his jacket off and tries to use it to wipe at Jeremy's shirt. Jeremy swats him away, agitated.)
JEREMY: (Stammering) Igh - ugh - just - stop. Please.
FLYNN: Sorry. I'm sorry!
(Laughing awkwardly) It's a good thing I decided to go for iced coffee today.(He bends down and picks up Jeremy's textbooks, and hands them to him sheepishly.)
FLYNN: I'm Flynn. You're new here, right?
FLYNN: No way, you're taking physics and chemistry and biology? In the same semester?
Wow. You're either crazy, or... some sort of super genius.FLYNN: We're alive! Dear, god, we're alive!
[Note: Unlike the other characters, Flynn doesn't have much of a singing part, only doing a few lines in one of the song. He's somewhere around a baritone. However, please do add singing examples to your audition!]
