Yugi Mutou is a Grade 10 student at Domino High and the owner of an ancient Egyptian artifact known as the Millennium Puzzle, which has never before been solved by anyone who dared to try, and all those who came into contact with it died mysteriously. Upon solving the puzzle after trying for 8 years, Yugi becomes possessed by an ancient spirit who is a master of the ancient and dark Shadow Games. Yugi is a happy, naive, and fun loving kid. He loves all sorts of games, ranging from tabletop RPGs to the newest card game to hit Japan, Duel Monsters. Though he starts off the series an outcast, with Anzu Mazaki being his best and only friend, he quickly makes friends with his former bullies Katsuya Jonouchi and Hiroto Honda.

Feel free to audition for Yami as well, though if you do so with the intention of being cast in both roles, try to keep both voices similar but different enough to distinguish both of them.
