One of the more capable duelists living in The Abyss. He is arrogant and overconfident, quick to dismiss others who fail to impress him. He does not shy away from cruelty, rationalizing these actions due to the harsh reality in The Abyss. He does not expect mercy from others and knows none will be given. He is prone to anger, and will not hesitate to lash out at anyone he believes to be a threat. Derek believes only the most heartless duelists can survive in The Abyss.
