Alajn is a valkyrie, a reaper specifically, tasked with taking the souls who die cowardly deaths. She accompanies her sister Njala to any battle.  

  • "There. That's their new leader. Arni Brokenbrow, they call him. Great warrior, great gambler, great drinker by all accounts."

  • "It seems that your favorite human lives to fight another day." [bemused]

  • "Njala, it's an honor duel."

    [Njala]  "But—"

    "And even if it wasn't, we are Valkyries. It is not our place to intercede in the affairs of mortals. You know this."

    [stopping her sister from interfering in a fight]
