EJ is a quiet yet dangerous character. He was sent by Slenderman to look over Ruby when she was a child, so he has a soft spot for her. Ruby sees him like a big brother figure since he was always there to protect her when she was little. EJ’s appearance never changed throughout the years due to all the organs he consumes that helps him live longer than regular humans beings. Context: Jack is talking to Ruby when she was a child. He was there for her when she had no one else.
"C'mon. Just follow my lead."
Context: Jack took Ruby on one of Slendy's missions to show her what it's like living at the mansion. Ruby is still new to the mansion so he's looking after her like always.
