Ren Solomon is a member of the Levana Guardian Force. He had a lucky break on a previous case, which elevated him to the status of "national hero".
Ren is a helion (one with the ability to wield magic), but he absolutely hates his powers. It has brought him nothing but misery.
Despite having a rough-- and lonely-- childhood, Ren tries to be optimistic, albeit, unsuccessfully for the most part. He's extremely loyal to his friends, but is also picky about who he lets into his life. Ren constantly tries to please people/solve their problems, even if it means putting his own concerns aside or his safety at risk. He wants to believe the best in people, which makes him sort of naive/gullible. He forgives easily-- giving people second and third chances, and people often take advantage of that kindness.
Ren is a bit dense and socially awkward due to keeping to himself for most of his childhood and young adult life. He never really learned how to interact with others so he can come across as fairly strange to others.
(Amused)
Could you imagine if we were on a team together? The Royals would despise us. You would blatantly disregard their every order and I would just constantly disappoint them with everything I do.
(He laughs then lets out a content sigh-- almost like he's daydreaming about what could have been. When he continues, his tone is a little bit sad.)
We’d make a terrible team. We would never get any work done.
(Livid)
Because you just left me there!
(Emotional anger that shifts into sadness and betrayal)
You left me all alone at the academy when you were offered the position of Royal. The first chance you got, you walked away and not once did you ever come back to check on me.
(Defeated sigh)
But it doesn’t matter. That was over a decade ago.
(Flat tone-- as though he is repeating a phrase he has said many times and all meaning behind the words is lost)
I am a servant of Levana and you are my Royal.
(Flirtatious teasing) Oh, I’m taking you to the festival, am I? Is that all I am to you? A wallet? Let’s say I buy you a ticket. What do I get in return?
Thank you for auditioning, Slightmine. You did a good job with this. I particularly love the way you said "We'd make a terrible team. We would never get any work done". Just wondering if you have a North American or English accent naturally. Your lines seemed to switched back and forth between those two accents. But I love your audition and thank you for your interest in my project!
I'm just new to professional voice acting. And my accent is very mixed so I can see why it was switching a lot. I can try stick more to one or the other accent
That's actually pretty cool! Both accents sounded so good that I couldn't figure out which was your natural voice. I don't mind the switching at all.
