    (Shock.) How could this be my fault? How could Justyn blame this on me?


     I didn’t set the village on fire. 


    (Going into panic.) The village, on fire! Oh dear, how many people died in that fire? Why aren’t I dead? Mother and Father died.


    (A realization.) Mother and Father are dead.


     I’m not, I lived, I got out.


     (Sadness, starting to cry.) How could I just leave them? It wasn’t fair. They were good people. They just wanted me to be happy. 


    Here I am, alive and crying alone in the forest. My entire life was dedicated to them, to the orchard. I have nobody, I’m alone. Well I have Elliot, I haven’t seen Elliot since I was a child. He could be dead for all I know. (In shock, laughing.) Goddess, wouldn’t that be funny? If Elliot had been dead years ago and we didn’t even know? Mother and Father didn’t get to say goodbye to him, perhaps he was dead and they knew? They just didn’t tell me.


    No, that doesn’t make sense. I’m supposed to find him aren’t I? I can’t think clearly, I’m exhausted.
