Beltboy is the main character of LISA: The Hopeful; Taco Salad describes him as an "idiot trying to be cool and in charge", which is just about the best way to describe him. He tries really hard to be cool, and his voice should reflect this - you can make it as over the top and befitting of his shit-eating grin as you like! Note that Beltboy is a friendly individual behind it all.
(Confident) "Behind us is what? No gas? Exactly! And what's in front of us? We don't know! Then dead ahead it is! We'll find some gas in no time! Come on, guys. We do a good job - for once - and maybe Rodriguez will even let us have a turn!"
(Pause, sheepish) "Yeah, that did sound kinda creepy, huh? Anyway, let's get going. The sun's melting the glue in my hair."
[This is after Beltboy's eye got shot and he put on an eyepatch; speaking to Cyclops.]
(Playful) "So now that we got matching injuries... do I get to know the eye trauma story? ... It's fine, I was just kidding around. It's really that fucked up, huh?"
(Amused) "Well, at least I can empathize now!"
[Both of Beltboy's friends are dead, and his cool facade has been cracked. He's speaking to the man who killed them.]
(Tranquil fury) "You're gonna die. I'm going to kill you and everyone here. Get used to the smell of your buddies' shit before you croak."
Hey there! So many good auditions for Beltboy; this one is really nice - though perhaps a little too growly, you got the emotions and the tryhard nature down pat. If I don't pick you for my final casting decision, I highly suggest auditioning for one of the other roles - I think you'd fit pretty much any of the Extra roles (more to be added later) or, like, Gordy Golden!
