Lanks is another one of the main trio in LISA: The Hopeful. Nerdy, weak, and painfully lacking in confidence, Lanks is nonetheless an asset to the team who's a close friend of Beltboy and Cyclops - even if he relies on them for protection. He should sound like that - jittery and shy... except in the last line in the audition, where he gains a lot of confidence.
[These lines take place at a campfire with Beltboy and Cyclops.]
(Nervous) "Do you guys think that, like... we're kinda being jerks? You know, about the girl. Well, like, we're not, y'know, ummm... we're not asking her to be our boyfriends, right? We want to save the human race and all that... but... we're not asking, y'know? She might not give us permission?"
[These lines take place before the apocalypse. The three friends are working at a restaurant and talking there about a girl Lanks saw.]
(More confident than usual) "All I'm saying is... she was, like, a nine. Point sixty six. Repeating."
(Still more confident) "Cleo's an eight. I'm just saying this girl tops all the lists! Hey, Ben, you saw her. Convince Clyde over here!"
[These lines are while Lanks is speaking to the man who killed his friends.]
(Trying to be brave; slight fury) "I came here for the girl. But now... I don't know. You got my friends killed. And you are one waste of human skin... So... I think I'm going to kill all of you instead."
Hey there! This is an alright voice, but I don't think it's quite what I'm looking for when it comes to Lanks - we're going for something kinda weak and pathetic. But given how you auditioned for a lot of parts, I doubt I need to offer an alternative, huh? ;3
