Contrary to his appearances, Taiyang wasn't always the friendly dad figure he is now. As a student in Beacon, he was loud, boisterous, and always itching to start a fight. He not only was strong, but also had a strange charisma and bravado to him due to his overconfidence. He was always confident of his ability to fight and brawl it out, and was always eager to prove so, whether on a Grimm or fellow student - or even a teacher if they pissed him off enough. He was even bold enough to call himself the "King Of Beacon", and didn't particularly care if it was actually true or not.
He would obviously mellow out after leaving Beacon and raising a family, but nonetheless he still has the heart of a lion kept neatly under wraps. As long as Yang doesn't find the photos...
Tai's voice here is considerably deeper than canon, even as a teen, and leaves a lot of leeway for voice interpretation. He's more of a delinquent and loose cannon as a student, but is still prone to making really bad jokes and embarrassing himself from time to time, especially when it comes to trying to flirt with or impress that ice-cold Raven chick.

[Young Tai. Relaxing at class while boasting about himself in a matter-of-fact way.]
"I'm always looking for a fight. It keeps things interesting. They don't call me the King Of Beacon 'cause I sit on my ass all day."
[Young Tai to Qrow. Angry, offended and itching to punch someone.]
"What did you say to me, Bird Boy?! You wanna take this outside??"
[Young Tai to Raven, attempting to flirt with the girl with the cold demeanour, trying and failing to get his charm on.]
"Aww, come on Ravey, you gonna give me the ol' cold shoulder again?"
[she ignores him. "Don't call me that."]
"Pft, don't be like that. You're stuck with me, and I'm stuck with you - as a team, y'know? At least I'm smart enough to enjoy it. I'd enjoy me, too."
I like this, I think you capture the cockiness and charisma quite well. I think the angry part can still sound more pissed off, there are parts near the end of his sentences (eg. "boy" and "outside") where the stress in his words seem to decrease at the end of the sentence rather than increase with intensity, making the execution end less strong than it could be.
