Chie Satonaka is a 2nd year student at Yasogami High, same as many of the other main characters. Her personality isn't very far removed from her canon personality, in that she enjoys steak and kung-fu movies, though deep down she harbors an intense inferiority complex about her group, as she's not sure what she contributes that someone else can't. The only one she doesn't feel this way about is Yosuke, so she tends to verbally assault him at any opportunity she can in an effort to bring herself up. Upon facing her Shadow, Chie accepted her inferiority complex, and is actively trying to become a better person. Whether that be training with Yu, protecting Yukiko, or making dumb remarks about Yosuke, she'll strive hard to keep that smile on her face.

Her voice should bring a lot of energy to the table. As far as range goes, I'd say we're looking for something in the mid-high level, as long as you can keep a cheerful attitude, but still get a little somber when an emotional scene comes around. Below is an example of what the previous actress did for the role. I'm not looking for a carbon copy, but rather I hope you can take inspiration to use in your own performance.

  • You're hurting Yosuke!!! ...maybe we are the same person.

  • (Overly nice, like she's obviously hiding something)

Aww, Yosuke, that's so sweet! Getting Teddie ice cream like that? You've really become a loving, caring, friend!

  • (Self-reflecting, somber)

Yeah, I'm not girly like Yukiko, I'm not strong like you...I'm certainly better than Yosuke, but...I need to better myself.

I’m honestly also open to feedback!

My feedback: I like what you did here. You bring the right energy and pitch to Chie's voice very naturally and leave room to fluctuate the voice based on the scene. The only thing I could find to point out was the volume on the first line was a little too loud so it peaked your mic. But that's a simple gain adjustment fix. Otherwise you did a great job!

Thank you! I'm still fiddling around with mastering my equipment, so thank you for the feedback, I truly appreciate it
