Prašinu, or Praš is a very secretive, scholarly and mysterious character in the Second Chapter.

They're authoritative but quiet, frustratingly secretive and very strong in mind and focus. It's impossible to tell what they're thinking, and though they may know an incredible amount of information, the number of people they'd willingly tell about it to can be counted on one hand, if that. Generally, this means they're largely impatient & uninterested in what anyone else has to say, unless it's concise and to the point.

They're not human, and their species means they have the size & stature of a young child. We picture them sounding childlike, but very mature, mannered and serious in delivery. Something mid-high, breathy and somewhat monotonous with slight expression would hit what we're thinking, but as always we're open to interpretation!

Accent is open, though we are veering away from a North American accent. They're not human, so feel free to experiment with accents & intonations! As a rough guide, think along the lines of Shantotto from Final Fantasy, or Mipha from Breath of the Wild (please don't impersonate either of these!)

They present as female, but nobody is really sure of what they really are in terms of gender or species, other than 'not really human', so any & all genders are welcome to try out!

If you'd like more information on the character, please ask on here, discord or email and I'll clarify - I don't want to spoil anything for the players, as this chapter is still ongoing!

  • {Disinterested and slightly miffed their time & vast amounts of knowledge is being wasted.}

    Perhaps if you cared as much for my name as the situation we're in, I'd be more inclined to answer your needless quandary- we aren't friends, nor shall we ever be. Though I could whittle away more of my precious time disputing this with you, I must say I'm utterly disinterested in any further conversations between us, and have much more productive activities awaiting me. Good day.

  • {Describing a story, somewhat nonchalantly considering how terrible the situation was}

    Your typical romance; a cretin falling in love with a woman far out of his class. Of course, their foolishness only led to death and misfortunes for all involved. One could argue as to whether their circumstances were more or less tragic than their naivety, but one would be engaging in discussions more idiotic than their decisions.

    {Prio jokingly responds-"Huh, I didn't take you as a reader of cheesy fictions."}

    {Pras replies scathingly, with maybe the tiniest trace of playfulness.}

    Bold of you to be so blindly assumptive. I didn't take a bard of such esteem to be the kind who would take the tale so lightly whilst also so openly mocking the genre that lies at the centre of his 'career'.

  • {Pras shushes impatiently.}

    Why are you here?

    {The Player answers with something vague}

    Ask a relevant question and I might well answer.

    {The Player answers with something irrelevant}

    I don't particularly care for 'what you've been told'. What do you believe? What would you have me enlighten you on?

    {The Player answers with something disappointing }

    A shame.

Hey Stephen, thanks for your auditions! :D (and for the elmo, he is seen and appreciated XD) You've got a good sass going on for Pras! Your enunciation and voice are also great- your stage experience is shining through :D In terms of critiques; my advice is, if you do multiple takes of the lines, make sure to differentiate them as much as you can! E.g. Have take 3 be a 'safe bet' on the character, then for takes 1 & 2, try a different accent, pitch, or even entirely different read or interpretation of the character: Is Pras secretly enjoying the sass, almost with a snideness, or are they genuinely bored to absolute tears with the idea of these cretins continually asking pointless questions? Push it far, have some real fun with it- and if the experimentation doesn't work, the 3rd take is there to back you up! :D I hope that helps- feel free to reach out if you'd like any clarification on anything or anything else :)

    Thank you very much for the feedback. I felt like I might be rushing my takes, so it's nice to know that I wasn't wrong. I'll be sure to work on making my takes different from one another. I'm glad you also enjoyed the Elmo; it was just one of those days. XDD
