Beta is an Animaloid, a robot built to resemble an animal (in his case, an owl). He's often described as heroic, believing hope and justice are the most important ideals for a person to have. At times he can be overly dramatic or flirtatious, but this is mostly a facade he puts on to annoy his opponents or to help calm down those around him. Beta's exact age is unknown, though it is estimated he is in his mid-late 20's. Of note with Beta is that he has a thick Scottish accent, along with sounding like the stereotypical "hero of justice" (he's been described as a "Scottish anime protagonist" by the artist who created him, so do with that what you will).
