The Sandman: Overture (Comic Dub)
BenGranger for The Sandman (Dream, Lord Morpheus)
Dream is a quite stoic, but can get emotional if provoked. He takes his job as the Lord of Dreams very seriously, so he doesn't like to play around much.
When auditioning, you may use a British or American accent, however, British is preferred. Feel free to add in and echo effect or something to make him sound god-like. If you do add in an effect, record your original voice first and then the effect following.
(Upset and disappointed tone, like a father talking down to a child to teach them a lesson.)
My creations and my subjects remain in the Dreaming. They affect sleepers and dreamers, Corinthian. They do not walk the waking world. They do NOT kill mortals for pleasure.
(Curious, but concerned tone)
I have been walking through the dreams of the inhabitants of this world, and finding nothing wrong.. And yet... there is something VERY wrong.
(Stoic, yet mystical)
I am a passenger. I am moving through your dreams. I am riding in your dreams.
I ride on dragonback from Manhattan; the dragon is made of rivetted iron and smells of cotton candy.
I travel briefly by bus: in the back the dreamer, who's head is a pumpkin, copulates desperately, not noticing his autonomous passenger.
Approaching the state of Delaware, the dreamer is a small dog, dreaming impatiently of a past life, long forgotten, when he sailed tall ships across uncharted seas.
I am moving through your dreams, my sleeping children. You had a passenger... and you never knew.
