TARABUD for Cyndil Elaran - Singing Role
This is a singing role, please include a sample if you have one.
Cyndil is a young elf woman who comes from a (formerly) noble house. Raised in a tumultuous household and entirely cut off from her family, she's struggled for her entire adult life to forge a path of her own. Driven, tenacious, but prone to spontaneous recklessness stemming from her subconscious urge to strike back at her family. Fierce and aggressive in battle, but kind and generous in all else. She's in a relationship with Toren, and close friends with Rein.
Think of Mae Whitman, Ashley Johnson, something in that range. Or something completely different, surprise me, life is short, death comes for us all

Basically looking for a very contemporary tone of voice, not much vibrato and mostly. And sing out, Louise!
(It's Cyn's name day, and her colleagues are throwing her a surprise party, which she hasn't really had in a while. Rein, who is not her significant other but she has a distinct affection for, is behaving weirdly. She feels more comfortable opening up around him that most of the people she knows. You can play this like she does actually have feelings for him if you want, I want to keep it up in the air.)
Hey, um... Thanks. For being here. I haven’t had a proper name day party in… a while… and it means a lot to have people I care enough about to even tell them it’s my name day in the first place, so…
(Cyn is trying to get Dev, the Guild financier to give the go-ahead on a job where Rein, who has never done any guildwork, is going to be her partner. She can't go without him, and she needs the job to keep her guild ranking. This is earlier in the story than the first line, so she mostly just feels a sort of friendly pity for awkward, sad Rein.)
Look, my word should be good enough. This kid’s got proper training at the most proper magical school you could think of. Plus... (Hint of pity.) --He kind of needs this.
