Painting for No-One Narration
Yan for Shawn
If you are expecting a super rich character, sorry to disappoint. Shawn is the epitome of generic. Imagine the most predicable response to anything; that's Shawn. Being generic is the whole point of the character, which does not translate to monotone. There should still be flavor in his voice, but, again, imagine the most expected tone for each line if that makes sense.
[You hear someone call your name in your house at night. You live alone. You say this line to yourself.]
“Who the hell said that?”
[Someone's in your house, and you are afraid.]
“Who’s there?! And what the hell are you doing in my house?!”
[No one response to the previous line's questions.]
“Answer me!”
Man, this sounds like the most generic way to say the lines. I love it! My one critique is that you sound like you're recording in a reverb heavy room. Personally, I'll put a mattress/comforter over my head to suppress noise. You should try that out!
