Painting for No-One Narration
Braden Fort for The Narrator
How do I describe a narrator? Well, uhh, he or she narrates the story. Jokes aside, I'm looking for a narrator that can really set the mood for a horror story, one that can captivate anyone's interest with a voice that's inviting yet intimidating.
[The opening line. A great chance to start the story off right.]
A cold night breeze whistled into the abandoned storage garage, harmonizing perfectly with the droning taps of leaking water from the ceiling.
[You are agreeing with The Artist in a similar, devilish tone.]
The painting was indeed magnificent. All the colors used on it blended together flawlessly, making the astonishing attention to detail stand out even more.
[A moment where tension is absolutely shattered. Your tone, speed, and volume should reflect that.]
The artist jumped in front of the paralyzed man out of nowhere, causing him to shriek from not only her sudden appearance, but also her ghoulish looks.
Your sensual delivery was a very nice touch, but I think it's a bit too much for this project. While it works on the first two lines, it doesn't quite match the context of the third line. Again, I like it, but I think you leaned a bit too much into it. I think it would help to add some more urgency to your voice for the final line.
