This is one of the many background character roles. Applying for this or any of the other ensemble roles essentially means you will be filling in the soprano parts for the chorus sections of the musical, adapting your voice to sound like slightly different monsters each time.
I'd love to say something as well. The fact my voice is the lowest in this ensemble trio means that I truly carry the chorus singing, because without a deep bass sound, no song can truly live up to its potential. I am quite important, but also humble, for I know that I could not make harmonies alone.

i think this specific song example is too high or fast to really display your range, could you try something else?
