Villefort is a family man. Or.. He is for the first season... He's very cold and willing to commit atrocities for the sake of his reputation, which means, by extension, his family's reputation. His voice is pretty ordinary for someone so raw and extreme. He has a full range of emotions, but he doesn't value people as individuals, and often tries to sound less emotional and more sophisticated than he is.
