ANOINTED - BethEl Book One
rob427 for Lord Alderman
The main antagonist of the story, Lord Alderman appears as a 45 year human male, who is the leader of the Unity, but is also a Watcher, a spiritual being with supernatural powers. As the Watcher, he is described in the book like this: "...a human-like figure, tall and lean, body rippled with well-formed muscles. From head to toe he is covered in a metallic substance that looks like scales, black as onyx, but it is his face that strikes the most terror. Not because of his bald, elongated skull, or the two slits where a nose should be. It's not the menacing mouth that spreads from one cheek to the other without any lips to frame it. The horror comes from the yellow, reptilian eyes that blink back at her." His voice will have to morph between human and monster but still be recognizable as the same being.
Estimated read time - 15 minutes.
(as the Watcher)
You still don't understand? Let me put it into words you might comprehend. I know that stupid monk and teacher told you about the Breach. They aren’t sure how it happened, but I know. It was you! You caused the Breach and endangered this entire town. Why? Because you are evil!
(as Lord Alderman - creepy)
Ah. There it is. There’s that fire I love! It’s what makes you so powerful. Don’t you see, Rachel? It’s one of the reasons I chose you. Your fire and your pretty face. Yes, that is why I chose you. I like what you did with your hair, by the way.The color suits you.
(as Lord Alderman - threatening)
You’ve always been one of my most loyal subjects. So, imagine my surprise when I inspected the lab and found a small puddle of epinephrine on the floor where my dear Rachel breathed her last. You did not try to save her. You let her die!
