Owaki is the lead protagonist of the manga. He is highly curious and enthusiastic, but skeptical about the strange phenomenon surrounding the fault. He takes it upon himself to reassure others. Owaki also serves as the narrator. This character could be a teen or young adult.

  • It's what a lot of people would call a freak of nature...it's got the country, no, the entire world transfixed. 

  • (Alarmed) Someone help! This guy just went into a hole! I don't know if he can get out!
