FRAN: Yeah, I’m not really out yet.
MAX: (surprised) Oh. Okay.
FRAN: It’s -- uh, complicated, hah.
Fran sees Parker sitting not too far away from their table.
FRAN (CONT’D): (annoyed) Oh, hell no. (to Max) I’ll be back -- just one moment.
Fran stands up and leaves.
MAX: (confused) Oh -- all... right then.
MAX: How long are we gonna hide?
FRAN: I don’t know.
MAX: I want to take you out.
FRAN: Okay, soon.
MAX: How soon?
FRAN: I don’t know! I don’t -- (a beat) It’s... I’m still... I’m not out yet.
MAX: (chuckle) Why not?
MAX: But I think you should embrace it. Be yourself. Go out. Don’t care about what people think. If your mom loves you, she’ll accept you for who you are. If not, then... I say good riddance. (then) I don’t know, I’m just heartless like that.
