Naoko Ukagi is the Ultimate Football Star. He started playing football with his twin sister in third grade when his mother pressured him to participate in after-school activities to burn off energy. He discovered that he had a talent, and joined a travel team by the age of nine. At age ten, he had already been offered several scholarships to colleges to play football and had a 31-0 record for football games. At the start of Danganronpa: FF, Naoko has no memories of his school life at Hope’s Future.

Naoko is very competitive and cocky. He believes he’s always right, and no one can convince him otherwise. He’s quite conceited due to all the attention he received as a child and thinks himself above everyone else. He also considers himself a “ladies man” going after whatever girls he sees fit. Despite this seemingly negative personality, he feels he is a “hero to all” and thinks it is his duty to protect other people from harm, even if he dislikes him, which has led to some unlikely friendships over the years (to his chagrin).

There is no serious preference for Naoko’s voice other than he should be very expressive. There should be an ever-present tinge of irritation and conceitedness in his voice, and this should be kept in mind.
